Our heartfelt thanks for all the support and love you have given to Noreen and our family during these challenging times.
Noreen R. Malone November 18, 1943 – December 10, 2009. The rich and vibrant life of Noreen Malone came to a peaceful end in the morning hours of December 10, 2009. Noreen died as she lived, surrounded by the extraordinary love of her wide circle of friends and family.
She was happily married for 44 years to Patrick M. Malone, residents of Naperville since 1977. She was the proud mother of two beautiful and caring daughters, Elizabeth (Betsy) Walsh and Christine Malone, and one damn fine son, Michael Malone. She cherished her only granddaughter Kelly Lynn Walsh.
She will be remembered by family and friends as a voracious reader with a wicked wit who loved her garden, her dogs, the beach, and making people laugh. She was always fun to be with, and her thoughtful caring nature won the hearts of everyone who knew her.
A graduate of NIU and Dominican University, she enjoyed her years as a librarian at Montini Catholic High School and Glenbard South High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and George Miller and two sisters, the late Lynn Shepherd and the late Christine Miller. She is survived by a Multitude of Malones and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Noreen will never be forgotten and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local food pantry in her name. Interment will be private. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00pm to 3:00pm Saturday December 19th at the Cress Creek Country Club, 1215 Royal St. George Drive, Naperville, IL. The family will be receiving guests from 12:30 until the service hour.
